Editorial policy
Genuine Daily Briefing aims to make household ideas clear, useful and honest about their limits. We distinguish general explanation from personal preference, and we correct errors when readers bring them to our attention.
Accuracy and clarity
We check factual statements against suitable references before publication and write in plain language. Where advice depends on a particular material, circumstance or level of skill, we say so. We do not claim to have tested an item or tried a method unless the article makes that experience clear and it has actually taken place.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial choices are kept separate from commercial arrangements. Any sponsored or partner material is identified clearly where it appears; a partnership does not buy favourable editorial coverage. Partner placements are labelled so readers can tell them apart from independently prepared editorial pieces.
Corrections
If a reader spots a factual error or a passage that needs clarification, they can contact us with the article title and the relevant detail. We review correction requests and amend published material when warranted, making meaningful corrections clear to readers.
Images and illustrations
Images are chosen to support the subject rather than imply proof of a claim. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where relevant, they are identified as illustrations and are not presented as documentary photographs.
A home is made in the details
A useful object need not be new, and a room need not be finished. We look for the small choices that help a home feel considered and lived in.
